Growing Your MLM Business By Talking About Your Passion

People that recently entered into my life don’t realize initially that I sell Herbalife. People from my past probably think that I abandoned my Herbalife business. The truth is I was tired of being that pushy, salesy annoying MLMer trying to get anyone and everyone to try my shakes. I even started to annoy myself! Therefore, I changed my approach.

I realized that I am not Herbalife. I am Vanessa. I have dreams and passions outside of Herbalife. Same goes for you! You are so much more than your company’s brand and mission statement! You are your own unique individual. You were born with special gifts that no one else possesses nor can deliver their message like you can.

I have a passion to inspire women to earn their worth and see the value they bring to this world. I have the knowledge and experience to market my business creatively. I use this knowledge and experience to help other women develop their own businesses. I am finally leading with my passion and allowing my MLM business to follow behind to grow organically.

You may be feeling that you are in too deep to change your approach but it is never too late! Take the time to answer these questions about your business then make a plan to focus on your passion. The rest will fall into place.

1. What could you joyfully do every day without feeling like it is work?

2. Name something you can do that would feel like you are on vacation every day.

3. What have you learned that you have earned the right to talk about and share your knowledge?

4. What are you known for?

5. If you had to work for free, what would you do enjoy doing for no pay?

6. What are the top 3 things that you are most passionate about?

7. What really makes your blood boil?

8. What are your values that you refuse to stray from?

9. Once you start seeing a pattern of your passion focus, how does it tie into your current MLM business?

10. What problem could you solve in regards to the theme of your passion with your MLM business?

As you answer these questions, you will see that the passion was there all along if you didn’t already know. Now you need to take this information and come up with a strategy to lead with it. While it will take some time to brainstorm, it will be well worth the effort.

Let’s use the example of a fitness trainer who also sells nutritional products and has a compassion for diabetic patients. In this instance, the primary focus of generating income is through fitness sessions while supplementing her income by selling nutritional products. If she didn’t have to pay bills, then she would love to spend time helping diabetic patients get healthy. She answers the above questions to reveal that her knowledge and experience in creating nutritional and fitness plans for diabetics coupled with her skills in promoting her current business sets her up perfectly for starting an online support group. She creates a blog and Facebook group to serve as an online community for diabetics who want to get healthy. This group helps them find resources and peer support. She posts links of her educational blog posts in this group leading members to her website. On her website, they are able to subscribe to her newsletter for more perks and advice. She continues to give valuable content to her group members and newsletter subscribers. She creates in-person and online events for the community to participate and feel a sense of belonging. As she becomes a trusted leader within the community, she earns the right to recommend products and services. She is now viewed as the expert to see when diabetics want to get healthy. She becomes known for providing valuable content and putting her customers first. Not selfishly trying to sell them something every chance she gets.

Keep in mind all of this takes time, patience and consistency but YOU HAVE TO START! You will never make progress unless you start. As you build trust and people get to know and like you for your passion, they will want to buy whatever you recommend. They may even confide in you before they buy products relating to your industry that you don’t sell. But it all starts with taking the first step to make a change and add value to the lives of your customers and prospects. Create change within the MLM community and help improve its reputation by leading with your passion.
